The NSS Unit of Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology organized a Plantation Drive in observance of World Earth day 2023 on 21.04.2023 Under India’s G 20 Presidency.
The world is turning into a global hotpot and the clasps of global warming has made it worse than what it was. It is time that we take the onus into our hands and start taking small steps that can help one to overcome this crisis! And what better than a plantation drive that can help you to work towards the purpose!
To make sure that people come up with more active participation and take this factor into consideration, the Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology organised an one of a kind plantation drive. The drive sufficed the purpose and is a baby step towards making the world a better place!
The Plantation Drive was conducted NSS Unit of Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology, Under India’s G 20 Presidency premises to create more awareness. The Plantation Drive was organised on the theme of World Earth Day and it was conducted on 21. 04. 2023. The event was organised with the sole purpose of planting trees and encouraging others to do the same as well. The students took active participation and ensured that the onus of the event is met! There were 15 students who were at the forefront of organising the event and it was a raging success indeed.
The inception of the event was laid out by Dr.Nalini who is the Executive Director for Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology! She was the one who started with words of encouragement and a general awareness of how the world is going towards ultimate doldrums. She inaugurated the programme by planting 20 saplings in the open area of Kapashera so that the others could follow. There were volunteers from NSS as well who made sure that the event could be carried out with success. Although this was one of the initial Plantation Drive as organised by NSS Unit of Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology, with the success of the event, we can say for sure that there are many more to come in future!
