Alfred Quinsay, Bharat Elite Writers' List of 2024, Cherry Book Awards

Mumbai, Maharashtra [India]: Cherry Book Awards recently announced Alfred Quinsay amongst the Bharat Elite Writers’ List of 2024. His passion and resilience for writing books is an inspiration to many worldwide. This achievement adds another feather to his cap and amplifies his impact on the field of contemporary literature.

About Alfred Quinsay

Alfred Quinsay found his knack for writing novels when he was in his early twenties. It started more like a script for a movie, but as the plot and the characters of the story developed, it turned into a novel. He completed his first book after about a year but decided not to get it published because of fear of embarrassment from peers. Being young and inexperienced, he also lacked the resources and connections that time so he thought it best to pursue other practical endeavors. For the next twenty years, he went after other goals and temporarily abandoned writing novels. He also became a CPA and earned an MBA degree.

During the intervening period in which he later called it as his “real- world education,” he worked in various industries. These industries include gold mining, logistics, manufacturing, Business Process Outsourcing or BPO and education among others. Having been immersed in different industries and working for local as well as multi-national companies, he saw the power dynamics, and unethical business practices. It was an eye-opener for him that later on he was able to make good use of those experiences and incorporate it into his work as a writer and business researcher.

After his stint in various industries, he became a university professor in 2010 teaching accounting and business subjects. As a university professor, one of his important tasks was to come up with a research for the school. There, he was able to enhance his writing skills and hone his critical thinking. One of his notable works in the university was he co-authored a research on his field of study in business alongside more prominent senior researchers earlier in his career in the academia. This gave him the confidence which led to another research project in the future.

In 2012, he contemplated going back into writing contemporary novels which depicts real-world experiences. Despite his regular job which took so much of his time, he was able to complete his first official novel in 2014. This time, he made sure he submitted it to a publisher. The first publisher he submitted his work to was rejected. But he did not stop there, knowing that after twenty years, he wouldn’t stop at nothing and he would not allow fear or embarrassment ruin his passion for writing. The second submission via another publisher, he received an email after a few days and his novel got accepted.

From thereon, he didn’t looked back and returned to writing books with more passion and resilience. He realized those years that may seemed inactivity in writing were really “a gathering of enriching experiences” that has honed him to be a better thinker and writer at the same time. They were never wasted, they were more like a preparation according to him. His Christian faith had also guided him towards finding his purpose. With his efficient grip in the corporate world, he wrote more than 5 books consisting of real-world business scenarios which are very attention-grabbing.

His latest book, Love is War, War is Love serves a fresh perspective on romance, politics, and business. His upcoming book, “Lies of Influence” is about to be released by January 2025. The theme delves into the dark side of the human psyche and finding the balance between altruism and wickedness. It is like becoming wise as a serpent but maintaining the innocence of a dove. According to him, Human nature is complex, whether in business, relationships and politics. People neither respond well to either extremes, one cannot be too shrewd or clever or you will incur resentment and fear and will be later avoided. Conversely, one cannot be too good or nice. Or you will become prey to these human predators who are out for no good. Human nature is both devious and gullible at the same time. And this next project crosses this theme and more.
