Punjab National Bank Inaugurates Its 100th Branch in Chennai Region at Pammal

Chennai, (Tamil Nadu) [India], December 29, 2025: Punjab National Bank (PNB), India’s Second largest public sector bank, today marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its 100th branch in the Chennai Region, reaffirming the bank’s strong commitment to financial inclusion and customer-centric banking services in Tamil Nadu.

The new branch premises along with an ATM facility was inaugurated at Pammal, Chennai, in a formal ceremony held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Adityalal Complex, Pammal Main Road.

The branch was inaugurated by Shri P. Mahendar, Zonal Manager, Chennai, in the august presence of Shri Lalmohan Satapathy, Circle Head, Chennai. The occasion was further graced by Shri Rajesh Kumar and Shri N. Syed Anvar Theen, Deputy Circle Heads, along with Shri S. M. Azad, Branch Head, senior bank officials, customers, and members of the local community.

Speaking on the occasion, senior officials highlighted that the opening of the 100th branch in the Chennai Region stands as a landmark achievement for Punjab National Bank and reflects its sustained growth, expanding reach, and dedication to strengthening banking infrastructure across urban and semi-urban areas.

The newly inaugurated Pammal branch is equipped with modern banking facilities and an ATM to cater to the growing financial needs of residents, small businesses, MSMEs, and salaried professionals in and around the locality. The branch aims to offer a wide range of banking and digital services with enhanced customer convenience.

The Bank has informed that it has revamped its Savings Account products with inbuilt Insurance product, Hospicash, free locker and various OTT and other offers. The Bank offers all its Loan products through Digital Mode for seamless experience. The Bank conducts outreach program across India for Retail, Agriculture and MSME products on quarterly basis.
